These fruits are from the Southeast Asian region. They were eventually being grown and shared within India, which led to the trading of them into the western world. The fruits that were brought into China were then traded into Madagascar and then into Africa. During the 16th century they were taken into what was known as 'the new world' and eventually into Britain.
