How do you solve 6x + 8= 50

first start by subtracting:
50-8=42
the new equation is:
6x=42
then divide:
42/6=7
So the answer is:
x=7

You would start be subtracting 8 on both sides of the equal sign, so it would be     6x= 42.  the you divide 6 on both sides of the equal sign so it would be x=7.
