Simplify both sides of the equation

k(2)+(2)(-2) = k

Simplify

2k-4 = k

Subtract k from both sides

2k-4-k = k-k

k-4 = 0

Add 4 to both sides

k-4+4 = 0+4

k = 4

I hope that's help !
